GM Lennie was born on January 13, 1954 in Waianae, Oahu. He comes from a long family line of fighters. Filipino boxing was the first thing GM and his brothers was taught by his grandfather Elias Battling Bolo Cantere. His Martial Arts training started in 1969 while attending Aiea High School as a freshmen under Chief Tommy Torado and the Late Professor Marino Tiwanak of the CHA-3 Kenpo Brotherhood Club. He also started training under his brother Chris Siangco with the Pedoy School of Escrima Derobio System of Filipino Martial Arts from 1971. During his tour of Vietnam he studied Kali and Arnis while stationed in the Philippines. After returning home to hawaii GM Lennie went on to train in Kung Fu, Kendo, and Judo. In 1978, GM Lennie wanted to take all the training he had obtained and started the Shangko Fighting System. In 1983, he trained with the late John Marolt in Lima Lama. In 1986, GM returned to live on Maui and opened his school. GM Lennie's brother, then head of the San Diego Branch of the Pedoy's School of Escrima, wanted to open a Maui Branch, so in 2001 Grandmaster Chris Siangco and the late Grandmaster Julian Blue Generalao went to Maui to help open the school. In 2004, Grandmaster Tyrone Takahashi of the Pedoy's School of Escrima promoted GM Lennie to High Chief. GM Lennie was also promoted to Grandmaster in the art of Kenpo under Grandmaster Generalao and was associated with the Chinese Kenpo Federation with Professor Pete Salas and also GM Generalao's Karazenpo Go- Shijitsu Orgainizations. In 2009, the Siangco Ohana became the Pulahan-Derobio Eskrima Organization and today GM Lennie holds the rank of Pulahan Master Chief, heading the PDE Group in Hawaii.
